Um...we were exploring Volland, Kansas. A small cow town in Wabaunsee Co. After avoiding an oncoming train and jumping a fence. We came across a small little trash pile with rusted cans and lots of glass bottles. I found peices of plate/dish and a glass lid. I also found a small glass container with the words Listerine around the shoulder. It was sticking up from the glass, and the bottom was a little off center. There is an impression in the bottom and it isnt centered, it kinda hangs off to the side. There is a little diamond on the bottom with two numbers on each side, and teh diamond looks like it has a face inside of it. THe bottle was made by Lambert Pharmacal Co. I could provide pictures if needed, but my resources are limited at school.

I looked at the bottom more closely, adn teh diamond looks like it contains a B inside a circle inside a diamond. It also has a 7 on the left of the diamond and a 1 on the right. It also has an 18 below the diamond.

Hey,

Well from how it sounds, you found a Owens Illinois Piece of glass. I dont know what year that symbol was from. It is a <> with a O and a I within the O. Those listerine bottles are fairly common from what I know. I have a few myself. Correct me if im wrong on anything?

Thanks

The owens mark was used 1929 to 1954. The number on left should give the month, on the right the year and bottom either mould or plant number. Owens also used other marks
