So..we bought our house 2yrs ago. We were cleaning out the garage and tearing down the cardboard drywall crap from way back and I see this bluish box. I look at the top and it says "Xerox Data Capsule". I open it and it has a tape recorder with some other stuff wired to it. I look it up, can't find it anywhere and I'm a fanatical research nut...I see on Xerox website they have a history/archives division. I call and leave a message and the woman calls me back after doing research and here's her email: "What you have appears to be a sales rep tool for determining machine usage (e.g. job run length, number of copies made, etc). My understanding is that once a study was done the device had to be returned to Xerox for deciphering. This was not a product sold by Xerox; it was for sales rep use." kind of neat.....should just see what it's worth and sell it so I can start fundage for my new detector....that reminds me, I need to take pics of all of my acls today and find a way to sell them...
