I picked up some jars this last weekend and wanted to know a bit more about some of them. Here is a jar marked Lustre made by a firm out of Philadelphia. Any idea of approximate age of this jar? Approximate value?

Thanks! I picked up a bunch of jars to can up some pipe tobacco and wanted to learn about them before I did so. Looks like a very nice hobby here.

I think the time frame is about right, since these are all old-style lightning seal type.  The Lustre in circular plate was made by Ball & there's a bit more information on those - plus they are found in both old-style and beaded neck lightning seal.  This version in the fancy frame is believed to have been made by Hazel-Atlas.  The Standard Reference usually lists a time frame, but not on these.  -Tammy
