Here a picture of a bottle that I found interesting.
It' s " Magic Raising Powders Hall & Mansfield, Nashua, N.H."

What' s interesting about this bottle is that it is ground top, like the older Mason jars.
I tend to think it may have been yeast, although it could be the older equivalent of Viagra.
Ha................. not!!!

That' s always a possibility.
Being ground lip, like alot of food product jars, I tend to believe it does have to do with cooking or baking.
Either yeast or baking powder is a good guess as to its contents.
