I have absolutely no clue about antique bottles and I would really appreciate any information anyone might have on the value or history of this bottle. It has a pretty big flaw, the top, or lip, is broken off. Please view the picture of it and feel free to comment on it and give your opinion. I greatly appreciate any help!
Thank You,
Christina

Ametuer, Check the seam on the bottle if it runs all the way to the top of the bottle it is a 1900s bottle. From what I can see it appears older than that. Is the top sheared, or is the bottom pontiled? The embossing also appears to be an older Magnesia type. As far as what it worth ,not much with the damage, but if it turns out to be rare ,it would still be worth a decent amount ,even with the damage.

Hello. These bottles are very common in the U.S. From the deep cobalt blue color, I believe your bottle had a screw top at one time, which in this case would make it a machine-made bottle. None of the earlier BIM (blown-in-mold) versions that I've seen were that dark. Probably in use during the late 'teens and twenties. Phillips eventually went to a label only style, but I don't know the date. They are the same company that is in business today, with the same name. Given the condition, it has little monetary value, BUT, it will still be pretty in a window. Mint specimens can be found for around $5, so keep looking.
