The annual bottle show is Sunday February 12th 2012. It is at the Country Springs Hotel off of Highway 94 in the Waukesha area. (Same place as the last several years). Time is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00. If you love Wisconsin bottles, it is a great place to find / purchase / or just see them. There are (obviously) other national items as well as brewerania, signs, glassware, crockery, flasks, milks, etc . . .

I always have a great time at the show and I honestly just LOVE mingling with all of the bottle types, collectors, dealers, and authors. If you see me and have never met me, please introduce yourself. I know, I'm chatting with everyone, but please say "Hi."

I may be there...I hate skipping church to come. Wish they could do shows on Saturdays.

Do you know of any new editions of Wisconsin bottle books that are out now? I though Roger and Wayne K were working on new ones.

It's Milwaukee Bottle show eve. Hope to you you all there!

Melinda. If you do come, (and you know what I look like - There's a picture in my profile - I am 6 foot tall and follically challenged), please make sure to say "Hi". I need that Madison connection for when I lock my keys in the car.  I am going to sneak away from our big trade show today to attend the Saturday evening mass. That way, I won't feel guilty about all the fun I'm having.

Brian (GEEMAN),
I will see you there. Tom is attending as well. I hope to buy some high end bottles before the show opens (and if I do, my budget will be crashed). That means I will spend less time bottle shopping and more time chatting and catching up. I'm still hoping to find a few gems in the rough, if you will, that are affordably priced, of course. Should be fun! I"ve been looking forward to this for awhile because we have this big home improvement show that I have been working on pretty hard for the last few weeks. As far as book updates, I haven't heard anything. Last I talked to Roger, he made it sound like it might be an online version. He is trying to categorize every known embossed crown soda from Milwaukee. That is going to be monumental in scope. Wayne Kroll is also working on an update, but again, it is a daunting task and people are busy. Wayne is a scout for the Florida Marlins and that keeps him busy much of the year.

Okay. I blabbed enough for today. See you in the morn if you come!

Hey again Brian,
I didn't respond to this stuff. I will watch out for those cities, no problem. I know you collection is getting pretty advanced, so I won't outright buy them unless they look to be spectacularly reasonably priced.

As far as the icy river diving. I've done it but its not really that much fun to freeze your junk off. I'll wait a few months. Once the days get into the 60s, I'll be itching bad. I'll probably hit the water in April, freeze my butt off, and then wait until May when I'll be perfectly comfortable.

Sunday show beats a Friday show...at least you don't have to take the day off work.
Wish we knew of this show when we lived in Green Bay...

Bob, I think I may be able to sneak it in. I figure if I leave right after church I can make it for the last hour or so, then make it home in time for evening church...my husband teaches that so I need to be there for support.
If I do make it I will search you out...so if you see a short, fat woman with long gray hair wandering around...it's probably me.

Bob , did you score any goodies today? I got a rough looking Kraemer hutch and a couple so so local half pint milks = nothing spectacular by any stretch. Oh well, that's the way it goes as ones list gets shorter. Saw some REALY nice stuff $$$$ today for sure. I looked for you but did not see you. My GF was not feeling well so I had to leave early. Sorry to have missed you and hope to cross paths on the river this summer.

Melinda,
It was an absolute pleasure to meet you. Our paths crossed in front of an author's table -and he is also a very very nice guy- so, he fit right into the conversation. I think that Melinda was the first person that I met face to face from the forum (that I met exclusively through ABN). I had no idea what she would look like. And she looked just like I imagined.  It was very fun. Melinda is just as sweet in person as she is on here. Sorry that we Wisconsinites do not have more veterinary bottles for sale.

I think I could talk about bottles long enough to bore nearly any human, which is part of what made the show great for me. I saw tons of wonderful people. Besides Melinda, I saw Mark - Minnesota Digger from the forum - but I did miss Geeman (Brian). We'll hook up when it warms up a bit. I also saw most of my dive buddies, just about every author of Wisconsin realed memorablia, some great dealers and collectors and I think I made a few new friends. I will post some pics of the expensive stuff I bought within the next few days . . .
