Hey all...

I don't usually go for later bottles but this one caught my eye at a local tag sale... Can't find any info on it... Posted it previously, but I figured it was due for a re-run what with all the new faces around here...

Olive amber colored glass with that "old" look to it... Cabin embossed on one side with a pioneer scene (woman with spinning wheel), reads: "Pioneer Women"... Reverse has embossed over logs: "Saluting Pioneer America"... Base reads: "BN 1972"... There are two mold seams, one diagonally across the base, the other on the neck in line with the roof peak...

Great little bottle for a yung'un... Just wish I could pin it down...

Thanks ahead for any thoughts...

Ron

Thanks, Eric, for pulling up that former post... It's really such a nice piece for being 20th century -- it drives me crazy that there's no info on it...

Any of you Mid-westerners ever see anything like this? I know there are a lot of "Pioneer" themed sites out there, so it would seem this little bottle could be related somehow...

I agree ..... that was what first crossed my mind when I saw it .
Ron , I have never seen one like it before ! It is a cool bottle though , even if it is a repro !

I wouldn't call it a repro but maybe a souvenir bottle. I remember all that pioneer america stuff, it was real big in  Colorado even in the early 1900. All the shops in Centril City, Colorado sold souvenir stuff like that.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments and suggestions...

The ink idea had come up before... To me, it seems too big and bulky to be an ink... As for repro, what is it a reproduction of? I think of repros being patterned after something well known and dear... Here, we have unknown to the max...

Again, I think it probably held maple syrup... I contacted the Log Cabin Syrup people, but they said it wasn't theirs... It has the look and size of a pint syrup bottle like the "barn" next to it in the following photo...

Hey Ron, I would have never guessed 16 oz the way you got it between your fingers. How tall is it?
It may be one of those bottle club commemoratives from a defunct club. Have you tried contacting anyone at the Midwest Miniature bottle club for info?
