Dug this recently and thought I'd share. Been digging a lot of holes lately without much glass, so I was excited to get a good bottle for a change. V-17-A in Don Tucker's classification, has the Squaw and papoose on the reverse.

Searched ebay and saw 3 that sold recently for $100-150 each, but they were the plain reverse bottles. Anyone have an idea of value on this one?

Hello midway49, In order to help we need more pictures. This should include the finish details, the bottom details and in the case of the Indian Lady we will need to see a clear picture of the stance and the lower ground area. I have bid on these before but couldn't without more detail. I assume your interested in Value more than the scarcity aspect. Thanks RED Matthews

I think on this one the value varies greatly based on color. The lighter the color the better. Yellow olive about $350. Lime about $1500. As dark as this is I'd give it about $250-$300. Just a guess, of course.

This is V-17-A, so the ground extends out beyond the oval. And none of these were pontiled. What I'm interested in is the color. Tucker lists them in olive-green, yellow olive, black, and medium green. I don't think there's enough yellow in mine to be olive green, but I can see the argument for that color. I think it's green.

Nice bottle! That's the color in which these Squaws are typically found - value will be determined by condition and character.

Nice one Cliff! Anything else any good lately? I heard Tim and them have been hitting it hard this winter also. Sure wish I could get out there with y'all... maybe this spring?

Everything I have is for sale for the right offer, except wife and children and guns,
well perhaps the children (39 and 29 years old)
and perhaps if the offer is right the wife,
no not the wife and never the guns!!!!
