Hi,

I have a clear bottle embossed with "Montague & Co. Norfolk, VA." on it that I purchased via eBay a couple of months back.

I just found this forum and was curious to find out if anyone else has any bottles with this marking and know anything more about them?

The reason that I purchased it is that I have been doing some research into a Philadelphia, PA Chocolate and Candy company of the same name which operated from 1906 at least into the 1930s and, interestingly, the logo found on their chocolate/candy products is the same as the one on the bottle that I purchased.

The fact that the bottle has Norfolk, VA. on it has me baffled, however, and I'm trying to find out more about the bottle and its possible ties to the Philadelphia area candy company.

I can post a scan of the bottle later on if anyone would find it helpful.

Scott
