Hit some new areas today. A very nice Vernors can, 2 MS-63 Morgans 1882-0,1896, some old GM collectibles and an ealry Ben Hur book (early 1900s). Some military patches and pins but nothing significant.
Heading back out tomorrow for a bit and see about other areas. Anyone else finding anything??

Couple finds today. Few buffalo nickels, and 2 sets of Shell presidential brass coins, and an extra Kennedy in the plastic wrap never opened. Got the Shell coin sets for 2.00, got in car to examine and find extra Kennedy and a $1 sacagawea dollar (so I have 1.00 into the whole deal). Then the Buffalo nickels were found inside the whitman folder Id bought for 25 cents. Most were commons but probably worth 10.00 or so.
Few estate sales and got a U.S. entrenching tool for 1.00 marked Ames but have to work on the date looks like 1914 but maybe 1944. Last one I got was 2 bucks and marked U.S. Ames and 1968 and got 25.00 for that one. Hope this one dates WW2.
Last got one of the remake Coke Hutch type bottles for 2 bucks. (they go for 10-12 around here). Guy had a 6 pack full for 10 bucks in the old style cardboard. May go back for some things at that sale again and buy that 6 pack.

Very nice finds this weekend, glad to hear you're getting some deals. I've mostly struck out so far this weekend, only a couple enamel/granite bowls on friday, bought a couple lighters and a couple sinclair cans today. Found out one of my local antique stores is closing at the end of this month. Headed back to the flea makets tomorrow, hopefully we'll make some hay. Good luck if you go back out to the sales in your area.

Didnt get a chance to get out today. Worked on cleaning the garage and some stuff in the house. Then we got the thunderstorms and now its all sunny and bright. Might have to jump in the pool yet. Thats too bad AcctD, hate to see another business fold. But, people are very tight with the money right now and cutting back on anything not a needed item.
Hope some of you got some deals today.

Nice stuff. I hardly see coins at the flea market! I didn't need to go anywhere to get a nice coin. I found a 1909 V.D.B. Wheat cent in VF condition in a penny roll. I only had to pay a cent for it .

BB--- I often search bank boxes of pennies. Earliest have been a 1909 (2), and a 1897 and 1894 Indian heads!! You never know what you will pull from those boxes. Same with nickels, buffalos, and silver War nickels. Most people are going though the pennies for the 1909-1982 copper (95% copper) cents. Thats all well and fine but you cant legally melt them like silver. I see all these people selling bags on ebay, maybe 100 years from now copper will be worth saving as an investment. For now, I scrap it at 3.00/lb which they cant do with those bags of coins. Same with nickels. `gainst the law to melt em ya know.
Now the smart thing is hoard copper (98% copper) Canadian pennies which can be scrapped. But the Canucks got smart and 97s had zinc coated then became steel with a copper plate. However, thats mighty time consuming and not much of a pay off. But if you want to store barrels of copper hopping for a big payoff it may be a while.

Not many sales around this morning...hit one, came away with 5 pieces, a milk bottle from cadillac michigan, a little advertising spoon ( i think its for a funeral home), a dairy piece that's either a mirror or calendar, a cast iron pot, and a radio flyer tricycle. It's supposed to rain here all weekend, so I doubt there'll be many sales tomorrow. I picked out an auction for in the morning, fenton put out a set of bells for a festival down here, and I have all of them except the first one. The first one will be at the auction in the morning. It'll probably bring way more than I can afford, but i'm gonna go see what it brings. Hope you guys had some luck if you made it out!!

Found some good things this am, a WW2 Naval binoculars for 10 bucks (looks like they are 100-175 on the net). Looked at some Morgans and had some dope hanging over my shoulder (have to be rude and tell them I am trying to conduct business here). Didnt buy them though, rough shape. Did get a bag full of military stuff even the guys dog tags.
Offed about 8 boxes of bottles this morning which made me very happy. Didnt see too much else to buy. Supposed to rain tomorrow, but may go back out later and see what can be found.

Well, we drive around a bit, and believe me when I say we have our share of kiddie sales. Drives me nuts to drive a few miles down some road and find its kids stuff and old video tapes.
I did get a batch of aluminum pans for scrap in the free box today. Looks like rain and t-storms tomorrow for sure but may still go for a drive. Drove through a subdivion sale without spending a dime. That was a big waste of time.
Some ya win and some ya lose. Try again tomorrow.
