Hey guys. I am 17 years old and I live in MN. I have been collecting all my life, and I love to dig. My dad and I dont go out and dig Cabin Bitters bottles, but we find stuff that makes us happy at least. We are happy coming home with 3 Hutchinsons. But I was walking along the river here in town, 3 blocks from my house, and saw bottles sticking out of the ground. So i ran home to get some supplies, and it is being dug by me now. I have found about 30 bottles. Nothing too amazing, but fun stuff. A whole crock, njice jars, many Beer bottles, a rare whiskey. Pretty fun stuff. I really enjoy the spot, and it just seems to keep giving me bottles. I just wanted to share this with you guys, and just as an introduction to you guys. Ill keep posting every time I have a new find. Im hoping for a bitters. Ill wait and see. Here is a picture of everything I have found up to today. Let me know what ya think, thanks. Well, looks like my picture is too big, email me at vikings816@aol.com if you would like to see.

I think it's fascinating to imagine where and when bottles originated when they've been carried along by the river or an ocean or bay current, and the likelyhood of them resurfacing in the future. My boyfriend has retrieved many bottles (using his clam rake) from the bottom of various bays and ocean areas in New York. Some of them seem to be from before 1900 from what I've been learning. One day he dug up a whole six pack of coke bottles (separately) dated Dec 24, 1924. I'll have to get a digital camera to photograph them to learn more about them. Enjoy your continuing treasure hunts!
