HI     I think i found my first pot lid today!? thanks to your posts here & pictures !!!  was  thinking sure would like to find one & how many have i missed  ? education is a wonderfull thing and  thanks to you , really we found it! anyhow i am  rambling  i washed it with water but wanted to ask experts what to clean  it with ? will writing come off or is it under glaze ? it says //MATSON  DORIN// 27 R.  Grenier St Lazare PARIS // has other writing in center but cant read yet  ! will post better pic afer cleaning !!  THANKS A HEAP

Don't know much about the lid but you've got some other nice items there. The marbles are neat and so are the pipe bowls. Looks like a privy dig. Was it and what bottles did you dig?

Dan   thanks  ! dump dug with stick same place last 2 years have never dug privy been gathering as much info here as i can gonna have too soon as hot spot is almost exhausted check post on  ,unexpected discoveries,little things.Digsws

As you know this is a French pot lid that is relatively common and can be found in several different countries.
