Mystery ribbed "fill only to here" bottle - 3/10/2010 8:07:00 PM    BRichardson5   Posts: 412 Joined: 8/29/2003 From: Pacific Northwest Status: offline I dug the neat ribbed bottle on the left yesterday. It stands about three inches tall, applied lip, and is embossed "FILL ONLY TO HERE". Any thoughts on it? Atomizer? Funky fire grenade? I like the barrel-esque shape of it. RE: Mystery ribbed "fill only to here" bottle - 3/11/2010 9:12:03 AM    saratogadriver   Posts: 256 Joined: 9/10/2009 Status: offline Commonly believed to be an ink bottle.   One seems to show up on ebay about twice per year.   I've seen them machine made and also blown in the mold.   I THINK the idea was that, if you only filled to the line, even if you knocked it over, it wouldn't spill ink.
