NEED info on tobacco glass. - 12/20/2011 4:01:06 PM    Ryan Schnitzer   Posts: 55 Joined: 6/16/2011 From: castroville TX Status: offline now I know this is no bottle but its glass and I need info on it so.the name of it is W.E.GARRET and SONS i just bought this unique tobacco glass at a cool hole in the wall antique store.I have never seen something like this. its a glass container, metal top that still holds chewing tobacco.manufactured by american snuff Div.CC Conwood Corporation. Memphis. Tennessee 38101.My questions are WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS? ARE THERE OTHERS? WHEN WAS IS MADE? and CAN YOU GIVE ME MORE GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ITEM??? This picture looks like it may contain the Div.CC Conwood Corporation information. I can't read it, but it looks to have a more modern font style. Garret is an old firm (1782) that was acquired by American Tobacco at the turn of the last century. You can read a bit about the Tobacco Trust and those times: Right Here.
