Hey, all!

Not too much time for digging these past few months, but I think that just means I enjoy what few finds I do make a lot more. :)
Here's one I turned up on a dig last weekend. It was about 6' down in an ashy trash layer in a ravine dump that was in-filled to put a road through. This spot probably has no less than 20-30' of trash dumped in it. Unfortunately being beneath an active road, the digging is quite limited in depth!
Most of the bottles in the dump seemed to be 1915-1935 type of age, so I assume that this piece is around that age. It looks to be British-made. It is embossed "NOT TO BE TAKEN" in bold letters on the shoulder, and has a crude embossed "mesh" pattern on the front half. It looks to be about a 3 oz size.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

You are correct, it is English.  This is a typical Lysol style jug, quite common. KJ-15 I believe.  $5 - $10

Thank you! I thought I remembered reading somewhere that this style of poison with the mesh on the front was a lysol bottle. It's good to know something about it!

I say Lysol style as many of the Lysol jugs have Lysol embossed on them, and it's what we usually associate with this style jug.  But if it doesn't have Lysol embossed on it (even on the bottom) it could have had some other substance in it.  Only the label would have told exactly.
