Once again Im looking forward to attending the bottle show put on by the National Bottle Museum. I see it is being held again at the High School in Ballston Spa NY. June 7. I've never had any problem finding some nice bottles to bring home from this show. Hope to see ya there....I'll be the guy with my hands full of bottles and a empty wallet.

The show was great! Lots of wonderful glass and good people to talk bottles. Prices were all over the place depending on whose table you visited. I bought a beautiful yellowish Drake's Plantation Bitters. Then my new car got rear-ended on the way home.

Kinda ruined the whole day.......

Sorry to here about your accident jane8851. I was rear ended in my toyota camray about a year ago. The driver was doing 60 mph and I was stopped waiting to turn. It shook me up pretty bad and took two weeks to get my head clear. I was able to drive my car away while the other car was taken away on a flatbed truck demolished. Although I have purchased a new camray I still have my old one and use it for local travel. The show had friendly people and awesome bottles like usual. Here is one I purchased right off the start. I fell for its deep teal color and the dealer gave my a nice affordable price. I saw some beautiful colored Drakes. They are super bottles.

WOW! That's some nice Wolfe's! I have a few of the olive ones but that teal color is super, you don't see them very often. Nice find.
As for my car, as long as my bottle didn't get broken I'm happy. I can get the car fixed.

Jane, sorry to hear about your accident, but as long as you could walk away from it, that's what matters. There's nothing worse than having a new car get hit. I ended up buying a nice half pint, Stoddard flask. I was looking for a big old sloppy, crude med bottle but I couldn't find one for the price I wanted to pay. There were a lot of friendly people to talk with and a lot of beautiful bottles there. My problem was I spent some of my bottle money two weeks ago on a clasped hands flask and I try to limit myself on what I spend. Well, hope you enjoy your Drake's Plantation Bitters bottle. Take care.      Jim

GlassKeeper, were you the man I spoke to at the show who was looking for colored clasped hands flasks and told me about the golden quart?

No Jane, sorry but it wasn't me. I had a pint clasped hands flask I bought a year ago and I just purchased a half pint two weeks ago. I haven't seen one in golden color.I did see a half pint in a deep amber color I didn't realized they made. My problem is I like flask, bitters, and med bottles. Just when you think you have the best example of a certain bottle you can get, you always find a better one. But I guess thats what it's all about. It's a never ending search. That's the fun of it.  Jim
