Need Help on Platts Bottle-Mold Error? - 9/9/2008 6:03:06 PM    jdogrulz   Posts: 196 Joined: 8/10/2008 From: Boca Raton, FL Status: offline Hi all. I started looking at this Platts Chlorides bottle and noticed the following: The "a" in Platts is backwards. The "e" in Chlorides looks like an 8 The letters "s" and "e" are missing from the word House (I have looked at it very close with a mag. glass and it is not wore down). I have found many adds for it and so far none of them (from 1887-1920) have had the "a" backwards. I think this was a bad mold because of the letters missing and the e like an 8, and I am trying to find out ca. how many were made before it was changed (long shot I know) but thats part of the fun.
