dont see it in Zumwalt. Clean it up and sell it, might surprise you.
You can try asking Flaschenjager or one of the Richmond club members.

If I happen on to a local food bottle I usually consider it a keeper.
Looks like an 1890s vintage pickle-type container.

Hello Ry and thanks for the laugh (quote above).

It's one of our local pickle companies. Not a real common bottle w/ a price range of $15 -$30 (clean examples) and $40+ when eBay is at it's best. Just drop me a line if you have a VA bottle question and I'll try to help ya. I almost missed this thread mixed in with tons of non-bottle (garbage) threads.

I ahve dug a few of those over the years down here. Pensacola had to import nearly everything except turpentine, wood products and pecans so we dig a variety of bottles from everywhere. After WW2 the city became a little more self  sufficient with all the GIs comming home and starting manufacturing companies with there newly found skills from the military.

Cool, I've never seen one embossed, ever, I've tossed a ton of unembossed exactly like it.  Nice to see that.

Hey Ry -
Don't shoot this bottle either! Even though we don't care for them, someone may enjoy them. I'm most likely heading your way, at the latest, for the Balt. show in March. If you can wait that long and still want to get rid of it... just put it w/ any other Va. bottles that you don't want. After a spin, I will then donate it to our local club as a monthly raffle bottle. They are always looking to purchase bottles for a few bucks and locals are always best for the raffle and club.

Let me know what you think.

Hey again -
It should sell and for more than $10. Best of luck.

Since I have your attention... Do you clean OP glass? I have a couple of rare colognes that need a good cleaning and special attention. Do you tumble this sort of bottle? They seem quite fragile. I also need a big water tumbled, but I don't have a 6" tube and the stuff needed for this. I don't want to buy 6" stuff and only use it once or twice. Let me know what you think and if needed I can post some pics of the colognes in question. ....I'm off to golf now but will check back here on Sunday. Thanks for looking.

Note: My machine hasn't been used in over a year.  Just been way too busy.

Meech, I think it should sell aswell but you never know with ebay so like i said if it doesnt its yours.

As for the tumbling OP yes I do, if you check my tumbling thread I just posted a couple pics of some fragile pontils that came out perfect, I just took out two of my own today both rare and fragile meds without any problems. They might need some extra attention, depending on that the price my be more. For the Water I have a few 6 inchers and can polish that up no prob.

Can you send me an email with pictures of the bottles to rhoward182 @ Hotmail.com

Really? You guys can't find bottle related material? Lets see if I can help out here, this just wont do! Plenty of newbie questions out there that need answering. If you refer to the caption below and by selecting and clicking on any of the clearly marked cateegories you'll get all the bottle news that's fit to print. I find it hard to believe you're having trouble sating your thirst for all things bottles on this particular forum, with so many unanswered bottle related questions going unanswered so close at hand. The Administer of this site wisely chose a forum format that is reasonably easy to navigate. This is not the case in all the other bottle forums I've visited. Please gentlemen, take advantage of the marvelous tools that have been provided to you and refer to the chart below.
Thank You,

Lobey, are you really that starved for attention?

I'm with you guys, more bottle talk, less b.s.  "Some" off topic material is fine but there are days when it gets carried away.  My 2 cents worth.

Talk about non-bottle related!!! See how easy, here we go again!!!

Back to the subject.. I've dug a gazillion non-embossed foods, at best a patent date on the base.. so I'd a been quite happy to dig that one!! And if you can't stand to look at it.. I've got some reeeally ugly ones .. only a digger could love!!:)
