I found a new dumpsite and so far everything is from about the 1890s but I have only scratched the surface. There are Civil War era houses in the immediate area and Civil War artifacts were found nearby, so I am sure to find some older stuff too. It's a huge area and one that will give me plenty to do this fall and winter. I have just started cleaning the bottles so bear with me. Here is some of the stuff so far.

The 1st picture is a general idea of what has been found so far. Cone inks and local medicines have been plentiful with some real surprises showing up too including a large medicine bottle from New Brunswick, Canada. I don't have a clue as to why it showed up in a local dump from the 1890s.

The Rumford is fairly common but the one on the left has a patent date of 1868 and is a true teal color. The one on the right has a smooth base and is greener in color.

Here are a couple of 3 piece mold wine bottles which were used during the civil war, I guess right up until the TOC period. Note the 2 different colors.

This Heinz is a 1st for me. It has a patent date of 1890 and is embossed on the front. Probably common but I still like it.

This one just has the letters PATENT embossed on the front. It has a tapered, applied top and is a beautiful yellow olive color with lots of whittle. It'll make a great window bottle.

And finally for now a couple of blobs. Actually the one on the left is a Baltimore loop and the local Staunton bottle is a blob and might be Rare in these parts. I will post more as I find them and get them cleaned.
