Hydrofluoric acid also has many applications, one of those being able to dissolve glass. It is used to etch automotive glass for security reasons. As with any acid(s), and/or chemical(s), I would advise doing your homework before venturing to far. Hydrofluoric acid, once absorbed into your body, from direct contact, can kill you relatively quickly. Needs about 2.5% body coverage to do so.  Please be careful. Class dismissed. It hates rust but loves metal. Hydrofluoric acid doesn't require a license to purchase as far as I know. You can get it by the gallon at any restaruant and janitoral cleaning suppler. Using it to clean glass requires good timing not to ruin the glass.
