I found a dump today while scouting, I'm hoping it's TOC.  It was pouring rain and getting dark, but I've wanted to check this for quite awhile now.  It was near a place my dad and I used to mushroom hunt, but I remembered seeing trash.  I'll post some pics after supper.  I did no digging here, just looked for something to verify I was in the right area.  I found at least 20 different color, shape, size crocks, jugs, lids all white clay stuff, and all broke.  And a large BIM Simmons Liver Regulator(embossed 3 sides), and Danville Sanitary Dairy J H Campbell & Son Danville PA.  Both were found in a wash downhill from the pottery, both are mint.

OK, here's the milk.  One pint Danville Sanitary Dairy J. H. Campbell & son Danville, PA  slugplate, and yes she's already turning purple.  I was wrong, it's not mint.  There are 2 teenie tiny scratches on the back.

Here's the Simmons.  I've seen pieces of this bottle, now I've got a whole one.  This baby survived rolling down the ravine in the water about 100' from everything else.  Not bad for such a rocky ride.

Not a chip on this lip.  It has a few nice bubbles, the long one in the lip looks like a crack at arms length.

I probably won't be able to make it back to this one tomorrow cause of the boys football game, but hopefully the day after I can get in there with a shovel.

Hey Josh, I'd say those were pretty good signs of a dump.

Josh, very nice milk bottle. Danville, PA is only about an hour from my house and i often go there to visit other bottle diggers. Next time i am up there i will figure out if it's common or not from thoes guys. Looks like you will be finding some good stuff after you start digging deeper.

I can only find references to this Simmons bottle with Macon, GA on it.  This one only has Philadelphia.  Any ideas?

I hit every PA milk site on the net, and several other US milk sites, NADA.  I did find reference to the name in a newspaper article, from 1889.  Stopped by on my way home for about 15 minutes, mostly moving debris from the ravine.  Found a apothecary bottle, a Whistle soda, and a King's New Discovery(I hate those Kings, bottoms are too thin) which is the 3rd one I've found and the most whole.  This one only has a small hole in the corner of the base.  Going back tomorrow, landowner said he's gonna ask the neighbors if there's anymore dumps closeby.

You know I can't find anything on the Philly one either. I have sold one of the ones from Georgia for $10. Don't know if that's cheap or a rip off though?

A Whistle from Zanesville, this makes my second of these in green, so one of em's gotta go.  The apothecary turned out to be a shoe polish once I removed it from the clayball it was encased in, so I won't waste a pic.

Here's the spot.  The dot on the bottom is where I picked up the Liver Regulator, sticking out of the mud between a rock and a stick.  The upper dot has a fallen tree sticking out of the left side of it.  That's about 10-15' from where it seems to turn into all rocks.  Most of the glass is under the tree about 3' down.  Note the LARGE tree in the upper right hand corner.  I am standing in an intersection of 2 ravines.  I found today that the ravine to the right of the pic has a dump also.
