BRIAN S. & I were talking about crates on one thread...and CARETAKER was talking about metal in the dump in another thread so I decided to combine my responses to same...
The following two pics are of a crate and just one side of a crate I bought today...
1st is a whole crate...has LSC in a Trade Mark, so I believe it's from Larkin Soap CO...




Above crate is stencilled the same on two sides. On one end it has: Huntsman Bros... Bristol,Va-Tenn. On the bottom it has: Ward & Hagaman..Neva, Tenn.

I never heard of Neva Tenn...

whiskyman, I use to dig alot of those stove plate , never kept them tho, to heavy to truck out, I was after the bottles, so much stuff we leave behind, I like yours, been collecting them now, but I'll give them away to friends, I like wire brushing them and painting them black, I keep the ones with dates, nice stuff
