Today, I drove 2 hours almost to go pick up 4 little chick roosters for my breeding plan. The feed store that had them was just across the street from Monroe, WA fairgrounds. there was a sign outside that said, FREE Swap Meet today. I was in a hurry to get the chicks and head back down home 2 more hours away but decided to run in really quick. I told myself 20 mins max.
I ran in with my head dodging this way and that and in some spots, quickly perusing their inventory of glass. Not much of anything but a cool brown jug I liked in one stand and then around the corner and came across some interesting bottles this gal had with a bunch of other stuff. What is a blue ball and claw wheaton bitters worth?

Here is the first one I found.

Not familiar with it.  But it's a pretty bottle none the less. But I'm guessing not a whole lot. Did a quick google and many people have them for sale.

As it says on the bottom, it is from Wheaton. A modern bottle with very little value.

I did some research last night and there is a pretty good chance it is a repro. I love it just the same and is a good place to focus on bitters now. Can't wait for that show in Chehailis in May....

I'm afraid the chance is out. It's definitely a repro. They came in many colors and 2 sizes. HERE'S a creative use of both sizes.

Yes, I figured that out and saw that as well as many other postings and listings in various Inet spots last night that allowed me to see it is a repro. I wish others would respond to my pink bottle with stopper. I know that is hand blown and very interesting.

Both bottles are very pretty, Gru.. they are both modern, which means they are not particularly valuable or important to antique bottle collectors, but hey.. if you like them for what they are, there's nothing wrong with that! You could end up with a real nice collection of commemoratives and modern decoratives without spending much money..

Even if it's a repro, it's still cool to display and also because it ties in with your chickens.
