One of my dad's Tinct Iodine poison bottles has a very unusual coloring to it. First of all, the bottle is more of a cornflower blue than the more common cobalt. However, from the base of the bottle up to the Iodine embossing, the glass appears to be almost clear with a hint of amber. I tried to get some good pictures of it, but none of them show the odd coloring very well. At first I thought that it could be some haze or it wasn't cleaned well, but it is definitely just the glass that was used. I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen one like it and if the odd color makes it more valuable.

Here's a pic of the base (the bottle in question is on the right).

Here's one more. By the way, the brown around the shoulder in the previous picture is some dirt, but the color toward the bottom of the bottom is not.

That is very cool indeed.  Cornflower is a listed color for the KR-3, but I haven't seen one.  I don't know what we are looking at, but with the mix you have going on, I think there was a bad mix...or someone was being creative in the glass house.  Definitely a keeper.

Thanks Poison_Us. It is a very strange mix indeed. It's the only one of the five my dad has found that isn't the usual cobalt color.
