I found this bottle in my fill behind a retaining wall. The house is approx. 75 years old.The bottle looks like a mix between an airplane and a fish. About 6 inches high. On one side of base says patent 113053. Looked up the patent # but was for some gun part. On the other side on the base is an S in side a shape that resembles a fat ketchup jar. Then there is a 2 after that. The hole in the top is about one half inch big. On each side there is a dome shaped window. A semi-circle on one side allows the bottle to lay like a plane. Would love to find out anything about this. Thank you all in advance.

Joanne

Looks to me like you found a candy container. Early part of the 1900' s (20' -30' s).

I agree. It appears to be a figural candy container airplane. Nice find!

Looks more like a Buck Rogers space ship figural candy bottle.

It's definitely a candy container, but I don't have access to my books to give you all the details. As you look at the image, lay the plane down to its left. The "wings" attach to the projection on the right of the image. One in my collection is complete and has the very light red cardboard wings attached. It's a good find, but the wings are almost never found.
