Onion shaped bottle? - 3/6/2010 12:52:59 PM    mr2real   Posts: 230 Joined: 7/26/2009 Status: offline I picked this up at an city wide yard sale today. The vendor had an antique store that closed years ago. The bottom is smooth. There is several bubbles in the glass and the lip is kind of crude. The color is aqua greenish and the bottle stands 9 1/2" tall. I'm trying to determine the true age, the original contents, and If it is worth sticking on eBay? Post #: 1

That is what is found under the straw basket part.. it's Italian chianti, not terribly old, difficult to date but most likely 1900's..loads of them out there, but I'm surprised how many people seem interested in them.. throw it on the bay, ya never know..
