Not a whole lot to show for yesterdays dig, but I moved quite a bit of dirt in the couple of hours that I had to dig. What you see here are a couple of Bromos, cone inks, a neat complete soap dish, a local medicine, a Dr. Bulls Cough Syrup and a stoneware Arnold's master ink. I found a neat lock with a key on a chain still in the lock. I'm using electrolysis right now to get the rust off.

Here's a fairly common bottle, $10 on a good day, but it is a neat color and has lots of whittle. It's an Angostura Bitters embossed on the shoulder and bottom, "Dr. JGB Siegert & Hijos (Spanish for Brothers).

Finally, here's a crock with just a small piece missing and I intend to repair it. It's not worth much, but it's a good piece to practice on and it should display well after I'm finished.

It is an applied lip and an unembossed square amber possibly a labeled bitters or schnapps. I'm still looking for my 1st embossed bitters. Angostura Bitters don't count.

You always find and post neat and varied stuff - keep 'em coming!  I broke my ankle this week playing softball, so instead of digging this fall, I'll be reading about others digging in here.  Should be all better just in time for the ground to freeze...

Sorry to hear about your accident. I will do my best to find some good stuff to help you live vicariously through my finds. Hope your ankle heals quickly and the freeze hold off until you can get some good digging in.

Nice digs!! Hang in there, that first embossed botters is in the next hole (save one for me, I'm still looking for my first one, too).
