Orange glass lamp base - 9/8/2004 5:23:07 AM    IRISH   Posts: 1238 Joined: 11/23/2002 From: cockatoo Australia Status: offline I think this sort of lamp went in a wall holder sort of thing (how's that for an expert statement ), I've never seen an orange one before nor one in this exact shape, it has a sort of cross hatch pattern on the bottom part you can just see it in the photo, it's about 4 inches across at the widest point. Anyone got any info on this lamp it would be apprechiated. Also if you have a good lamp base please post a photo or two below, it would be nice to see a few dug ones from around the world in this thread . I dug one that was lime green with flowers and leaves instead of the cross hatch - unfortunately, I sold it a few years ago. That color is rather unusual - I bet it looks great lit up. He had 700+ complete lamps in his collection and lots and lots of parts , chimneys , ect. Lamps were another one of his passions after of course Bottles and Stoneware.
