Other Stuff I Find Digging - 8/25/2004 12:25:47 AM    BRichardson5   Posts: 434 Joined: 8/29/2003 From: Pacific Northwest Status: offline Thought I'd take a picture of some of the other things I consistently find when bottle digging. Starting from the left is a porcelain bunny (I've also found porcelain dogs, monkeys, cats, skunks, etc.). The orange piece of metal in front of the bunny is a recording for car tune-up dates from a garage in Ketchikan, Alaska (I.E. Check oil, 3-4-1936). In back is a nice shotglass, then a toilet for a dollhouse, the occasional glass stopper, and a pin with a coat of arms. To the right of the pin is a tax token for the State of Washington (used around the 30's as a token for 1/6 of a cent- it was the depression). Behind the token is part of a tea set (i've found nearly 10 complete plates, an occasional tea cup, and silverware). Finally, a porcelain insert for fruit jar lids is in the back. The place was a farm, so I've found 42 of these lids! Anyways, hope you liked some of my other recent finds. Attachment (1) Post #: 1

I have a dollhouse toilet almost exactly like that, porcelain type, except mine is white, and actually has a little wooden lid held on by wire through that tubular thing on the back. I'm pretty sure mine dates into the 1930's, was given to me in box of other doll house stuff by elderly lady when I was a kid in the late 40's. There is a good market for doll house and miniature stuff - a lot of people create "period" houses and scenes. The green color of yours seems unique - I've never seen the porcelain or ceramic pieces in anything but white. (in reply to BRichardson5) Post #: 2

One day it may be a scene from charley brown. "I got a rock" and the next It's like striking gold. Cool stuff!
