Our new old house - crawl space suprise - 4/13/2004 9:44:07 AM    martel   Posts: 6 Joined: 4/12/2004 Status: offline We recently purchased my wifes great grandfathers original homestead.. under the crawl space all along the foundation..were hundreds of old bottles... I found this site looking for info on a vinol bottle... few of them have names on them.. but the neatest find was an old wood Walkerville Brewery Case intact. The wood has there name stamped or pressed into it.. with all the empty bottles. Most of the bottles seem to be before 1900's era .. seems as tho there all all sorts and colors.. I will posts some pics soon .. I am just wondering why they would have put them all along the foundation in the crawl space.. ??? insulation? fill? some of them have sprayed insulation on them .. which seems to peal off pretty easy .. havent tried cleaning any yet Post #: 1
