Just got an email that appeared to be from Paypal. Said I had added a new email address to my account. That to verify I needed to log in at the link provided and give password, new addy,etc...

Sent it to spoof@paypal.com and they confirmed it was a fake.

Neither Ebay or Paypal will ask for your password and other personal info in an email...remember that and you'll be safer.

Heaps of that sort of thing out there, I suppose of millions of spam email's they send there will be a few newbies who respond each time making it worth the while of the scammers to send another batch .

IRISH...so true.

Got a new veryyyy PayPal appearing email today that said I had bought & paid for a Rolex watch....to dispute the charges I was to click on the link provided...and evidently enter my password,etc...
I didn't bite...sent it to PayPal and they verified it was also a "phishing" (ie:fake) email...and they were going to track down the source.

When you open your email from paypal, it will always include your real name on the email. If it does not have your real name on it, it is a scam and should be "spoofed". Spoof it at spoof@paypal.com.
