I work at a residence museum built in 1864. We are currently under construction and have found several bottles and other artifacts. We have just come across this pepsi bottle and I am wondering if anyone can guess at a date. It is obviously a lot newer that the others we have found.

Thanks!

Hello Celina,

Welcome to the A-BN and thanks for bringing the Pepsi. You're quite correct on it being a newer model. I'm gonna guess late 1950's, but there may be interesting clues on the base of your bottle.

You might ask the moderators to move this thread to the Soda Forum, where you may find some additional helpful information.

I'd be interested in learning more about this "residence museum built in 1864" and the other stuff that you are unearthing. We do like to see good photos...

Thanks for the info! I am new to bottles but got seriously curious when they were digging up something new everyday. Here is the little display I put together.

For more info on the museum you can visit our website www.thebanningmuseum.org

When posting you can click the "image" button as many times as you need, and then insert your pic's from a site like photobucket, all you do is copy and paste the image from "direct link for layout pages" under the "get link code" page, it will look like this...Jim
