Permission Question - 3/1/2004 12:18:47 PM    kharrar   Posts: 45 Joined: 2/4/2004 Status: offline Found a couple of real good sites in Prescott AZ. One is a house that I beleive is rented and the other is in back of a strip mall. The owner of the house lives about 40 miles away in another small town and the owner of the strip mall is a Trust under husband and wife names. My question is should I contact the owner of the house or just approach the renter?? On the strip mall should I just ask one of the renters or go to the owner?? I had an idea to just tell them I am an Engineer by trade but love old bottles and would like to dig the old outhouse that existed in the back of the property from the 1800's. Keeping it simple I heard was good?? Also telling them I will return the property to its original condition. Any other helpful pointers?? Found these locations from my Sanborn maps. (Ours is not a homestead, it's ranchland). It's just a good idea to make sure all parties are ok with it. I am not a lawyer but I feel sure you absolutely need the owners permission, and if you by-pass the renter, I would have the owners permission in writing so you have some proof to show an irate dweller!
