My friend just bought the oldest Commercial building in town and they want me to do some work on it. They said there is alot of junk around and has to be cleaned out and whatever I want I can keep. This place goes back to 1865 and has been everything from a Hotel to a Hardware Store and just cant wait to start digging stuff out. The basement is loaded with stuff and the attic is too. I looked under the crawspace and seen a whiskey bottle but the entrance was sealed off but there is a hole in the floor on the inside that I can stick my head so I will just cut me a entrance hole because I have to fix it anyway. I just grabbed these on the way out and the one with the Buck on it lists in Kovels for $210.00 in 2004 so I hope I can sell or trade these for some bottles? I will have more pics later when I start going through this place. This is a pic of what the place use to look like.

Those are some sweet finds!!!!!!! Iknow that that hunting & fishing advertising like that is going for some very good money. The stuff you have appears to be in mint condition so should bring top prices. Nice find and get back in there!!!!!!!!!!!

I see these are being refered to as posters but they are made of thick cardboard and are made like a picture with the folding leg..They were Remington displays and were made to sit on a flat surface SEE PICS.

I am stoked to have come upon this place and i think there should be a Privy or two around there somewhere.  Those displays are killer but not my cup of tea so there going to a good home somewhere. Got a Privy or Cistern set up in town for this weekend I will take the camera along and maybe post a video and some pics..Thanks again Ryan and good luck diggin. Remember this picture?

Boy to know what I know just from being here since this past Saturday I could kick myself and I'm sure a few of you would also. Before moving to the farm over 2 yrs ago my husband and I bought and old lot with two very old houses on it and a few sheds. It also had a privy with extended shed attached. I had no idea ppl tossed garbage in them or dug them. Well now the lot has been bull dozed and a brand new house stands there. GAH what we missed in selling it! But now I can dig up our 12 acres and find my own goodies.

Just like Rick said Farmgal, proceed at probing the basement with a jackhammer.

Love the signs. Looks like you lucked up on a great site there, one that should keep you busy for some time and be very profitable as well. WTG!

Sounds good but the travel expenses from Virginia to Michigan wouldn't work for either of us. Yes, I have lucked into a great dig site but don't underestimate what a great site that you are in also. I look forward to seeing more great stuff from you in the future.

Hi Michdigger, If you need some help digging thru the stuff in this old place, let me know. I'm originally from Michigan & my sister's been needling me to take a trip back. I'm from outside of Flint, sis lives in Lansing. Where the heck is Carsonville?
