It is quite crude, has a ground lip, and is embossed with an eagle. The strange thing is, the opposite side of the eagle, is flat like it should lie down or fit into something. I found one of them years ago . I first thought of it as a vase that sat on the ledge of a grave stone, but then too , that would not work well in the winter months being it was made of glass . It looks as if it may have been produced on an early machine. What are the circumstances of you acquiring it? Back story, please.
