I found one of these bottles at a flea market this weekend. It has the shape of a poison but is it really classified as a poison?

I call it a medicine but an OD of castor oil would be a bad thing so if you call it a poison I wont argue.

Sacrilege!  We must argue even the most mundane point!

supposedly it takes quite a lot of castor oil to seriously harm you (from what I read) so I'm going to have to stick with medicine.
Still probably not a bottle you'd want to accidently grab off the nightstand thinking it was cough syrup. That would be a rude awakening

With a name like LAXOL...I'm sure it's an early form of Dolcolax...or relative there of.

Shape of the bottle is to warn of caution, though..  Too much may cause dehydration.  This would be in the same category as the KH-26 as it had a tonic laxative.  Has 6 sides to warn the user for the same reason.

This solves a mystery for me.. what this sea glass went to.. thanks for posting this one! I'd call it a poison based on shape and color, but I wonder if there should be a separate category for bottles which did not actually contain poison, but it would put a slight crimp on your day if you mistook it for something else, and were designed with "warning signs" like odd shapes, ribs, etc..

Thanks for all those comments. I like this bottle because of the shape and color.
I suppose I will display it with my poison bottles but with a caveat.
