Poisons - 1/4/2003 12:48:46 PM    Guest Hello....... I wonder......I have some old poison bottles that still have some labels and some have poisons still in them.....It makes me nervous to think about selling them with the actual poison in them........but I wonder......would they be more valuable as close to original as possible? Some poison collectors like labels but from my experience most don' t. It' s the pristine colored glass, the unique shapes or the rarity that attracts. It would be my guess that most collectors would have little or no interest in contents. I personally would not sell a poison bottle with contents. At least let the buyer deside if s/he wants to keep it on; there are too many bottles out there with no label, labels tell a story and helps identification. I would pay much more for a bottle with label and original content than I would for a cleaned bottle. Poison is everywhere in our society, people don' t have to buy antique bottles to commit murder, so I don' t think you should worry about that. (in reply to Guest)   Post #: 3
