I just spotted this on eBay. Item #230175377787.Take a look and see where they made thier mistake on this one.

GEORGE...probably by stating it had a smooth lip ???
The base numbers also don't match the known 1970's repRoes, so If igger it's much more recent than those.

I ain't all that much "up" on jars. Tried to find BobClays repro site but lost the addy...

Dead on Whiskyman. As far as I know. all of the authentic jars of this type were ground mouth jars. I suspect that this is a new gift from Communist China. Everyone should be aware that fake antiques are a state industry in China and have been for many years. They are very good at faking many things. Collectors should be  careful as they will get better and better at it. I doubt very much that jars will be the only bottles that they will fake.

GEORGE...you're right. China is also making all kinds of blown pontiled glass as well...Murano-like and colorful. Big Lots has quite a bit of it as does WalMart. Haven't seen any pontiled China bottles yet - but they're coming.
There's also an EG Booz log cabin in cobalt blue that was made in China...has "weird" seams though.
