I was saying that sarcastically If the outhouse is still standing the chances are,some one used it in our life time,and thats to new to dig.I herd of a few people finding 19th century bottles in a outhouse that was still standing but its a rarity. If the your house is old enough,I would check (around) the standing outhouse for sunk in spots.Most of the time they used the same general area to dig the pits.But the more land you have the greater the chances of the privy's being anywhere with in walking distance.Obviously you don't want to do the 100 yard dash to the john.
