How many have seen a puce bottle in person let alone dug a one? How bout a puce torpedo???




Oh and remind me about the puce historical flask from yesterday when I get back from drill this weekend

That would definitely get my blood pumping, especially if I uncovered it here (Michigan).
I've dug two torpedoes in over 40 years, and a puce one would be "bomdiggity."
The post was effective, for sure. We're all wondering if it was intact, and where it's from.
Ryan, I just retired after 26 years, active Guardsman. Prior service Air Force and Army. Any questions about retirement, ask away. I can be especially helpful to you or anyone in your unit, regading LOD injuries and medical boards.

I've never been fortunate enough to dig anything whole in puce - but I do have a friend that tells me I'm a "poose" all the time.

Pam, love that flask I remeber when you snagged that off ebay GOOD PRICE you got on it even though its missing the handel.

E, American 1840'sTorpedo's are so rare in any color just cant belive my first one was puce.

Will post pics later today got to go to court for a parking ticket  that I got from digging of course lol

Ok all here it is, long story short its all there but the neck was knocked off and I glued it back. Still a really pretty piece and the last thing out of the hole

I don't care if the neck is glued back on that is a rare piece!!!  Time for a pro-repair and cleaning. Great find Ry.

that is one awesome bottle to bad for the neck but repaired and tumbled is going to look great oh and what about the puce flask you mentioned ???

Thanks Cap yep any puce 1840s glass is pretty rare, Ive desided to just leave it be the Elmers glue job is good enough for my display purpuse

Thanks Bob, I think im just going to leave it the way it is for this bottle I cant justify 200 Plus in a repair job right now and its only going to look a possible slightly better than it does right now. That puce flask is a OP Washington Taylor  I belive but sadily smashed to pieces lol, Once I clean up the pieces I will post a pic. Two broken puce bottles in a week is nuts
