Even though it was a steamer of a day on Saturday I had a great time at the Shupp’s Grove show.  As a first timer I loved the setting in a grove of trees, with nice restrooms, picnic tables, refreshment stands and worth a trip any weekend as lots of vendors are set up permanently and some have bottles.  As for the bottle show it was good Saturday morning though may have been smaller due to all the reasons previously mentioned.  I did notice lots of dealers packing it in early starting in early afternoon (it was HOT! And maybe they’d had enough).  I guess very few came back on Sunday.  A lot of the tables were in the shade of trees or canopies but some were out in the sun and the bottles were very hot to the touch ( I bet some were in the 130’s easily).  I don’t buy a lot but treated myself to a quite a few considering.  I talked with several nice vendors but didn’t see anyone from the forum (again they must have seen me coming first J)

Here’s one of the regular vendors, Jim holding up a B&O railroad lantern that was reasonably priced.

Here’s what I bought, sitting on a tombstone at my church.  The thing on the far left is some kind of brown ceramic insulator type thing with GE on it – cost $1.  The tall black glass type cylinder on the left also was a dollar and has D.S.G. Co. on the base.  I must have a thing for purple Whistles cuz I bought this one (my third) for $1.50.  The little cobalt bottle has a paper label that reads Solution of Potassium? and a huge lip chip that I bought as a repair learning bottle for $2.50.  I bought the little Louit Freres barrel mustard for $7.50.  Always wanted a sided soda so I bought this John Graf marked $35 for $25.

Although marked as damaged for $45, I bought my first historical flask for $25. This one supposedly has a small crack, but I love it anyway!  It’s a summer tree (101 leaves)/ Wheat OP aqua flask and will make a great place holder until I dig that yellow one!

This is the crack that doesn’t quite look wide enough to be a crack and might just be a bubble.

Marked $35, I bought the aqua John Boll hutch on the right for $25.  The unlisted clear one on the left I had bought last year from Ry.  This makes three different John Boll bottles I now own that the York book says are considered scarce. Well that’s it for the late wrap up!  Hope I get to go to York!!!

I love those grafs.

very common around my parts but because there sided sodas they regularly sell in the 20-30 dollar range on ebay. Here in wisconsin your lucky to get more than 10 for one. You paid about what they typically sell for.
