beendiggin, That ink has a great color to it. It looks like all these bottles are from a similar mold, but with different lip finishes. What state did you find yours in?? My ink was dug near a very old foundation north of Utica, NY. The foundation was stones only, with no mortar and shows up on very early maps. In the same area we also dug a "From the Laboratory of/GW Merchant/Lockport NY" a "Gargling Oil/Lockport NY" and a "Rushton's/Cod Liver Oil/NY". These other bottles were all hinge mold, not pontiled. baltbottles, A collection of inks like these would make an awesome display. It makes you wonder how many different colors there are out there.
