Anyone have a good method of removing rust from bottles ? I just acquired a 1954 pepsi bottle with some rust on the front. I tried warm water and barkeepers friend but not much came off. Any tips ?

Thanks

Steel wool is always good for removing rust. Rub it over it and it should come off. Make sure the bottle is wet, though. I need to steel wool some '53 license plates that I found.

If not, CLR soak it in a 50/50 mixture. 5 or 10 minutes take it out and then use some steel wool or a toothbrush. Be careful with the steel wool though as to not scratch the glass!

Lime Away works like magic. I haven't needed to try anything else. But muriatic acid works well too, on the solid caked rust.
