Hi Folks,

I have come across several bottles recently with the wire bail porcelain stopper. Any one have any advice on how to restore the rusty wires to make them look better? I am afraid if I remove them the wire will break. Or should I just leave them be?

TIA
HJ

Alot of folks leave them alone. I use a little Ospho or Jabsco to turn the rust coating into zink. Thats what they claim, anyway it turns the wires gray.
