Ride the Lightning, Lightning jar bail restore project ... - 11/29/2006 8:51:15 PM    bikegoon Posts: 671 Joined: 10/2/2006 From: Lebanon, Ohio Status: offline I scored today on a niCe qt size aqua Lightning for $4.00! Jar is in great condition, small stress crack in the neck, but the bail.....ohh boy she is rusted. I posted this in the jar thread as how to restore and protect these. I went with a rust neutralizer option, this product is from Loctite, after it deadens the rust it coats it in polymer. The end result they say is a nice black patina to the metal, guess we will find out eh? Thanks to those that helped me on my questions!. Yummy rust! First coat Second coat Guess we will see later how it turned out!
