Found this a while ago. I just read the recent article in Antique Bottle & Glass Collector and it states "Many of the early Turlington bottles will read 'balsom' as opposed to 'balsam'. One theory has this being a means of differentiating English-made bottles from those of American manufacture... or perhaps it is simply a perpetuation of an error started even before bottles of this type were made in this country." Can anyone give me any more information on this bottle? It is not pontiled, but looks older than other examples I have seen. Thanks Kate
