Shards? - 7/9/2008 2:19:43 PM    caiteet   Posts: 6 Joined: 5/21/2008 Status: offline Along the same lines as the non-keepers post, does anyone keep shards?  If you do what do you do with them? I have several rubbermaid containers of shards either my husband or I thought were interesting.  I plan to make stepping stones for my garden with most of them.  I took a number of my glass shards to a girlfriend that makes stained glass.  She made a wonderful window (21" square) for my husband for father's day. A lot of the ceramics in this picture are glued back from privy dug shards. I also know a guy who buys shards, he puts glass windows on ebay made out of shards now and then, he had a few some years back with broken flasks cut in half and placed in them if anyone remembers them... he does beautiful work... _____________________________ aint no bottles in there.... This winter I plan on shaping and polishing some of the more colorful pieces into jewelry, kinda like the "sea glass" stuff.
