New to the site. I collect bottles (milks, soda and medicine) from the Shenandoah Valley area, down the I 81 corridor. I especially have interest in bottles from Luray, Shenandoah and Front Royal, Virginia. I also collect bottles from the Martinsburg & Harpers Ferry, West Virginia area. I would like to meet other collectors from Virginia or surrounding states that may collect the same type of items. I will post pics of some of my favorites later.

I have only been collecting bottles for two years or so. Started with a 1/2 pint milk bottle and was hooked. Now I search auctions, antique stores, flea markets, bottle shows and any trash dumps for bottles. I am going to try and clean a bottle later with the suggestions I have seen on here...CLR just doesn't do it. I have met ALOT of great collectors in the past couple of years and this looks like the best site for knowledge and info.
I am (hopefully) loading some pics of some bottles I have questions about. The bottles are three meds and a Christo Cola.
1. Med from Washington, D.C. 5 1/2"
2. Med from Old Point Comfort, VA 4 1/2"
3. Med from Wooodstock, VA in light blue...have alot of clear Schmitt bottles but irst I have seen in blue.
4. Christo Cola 5cent from Front Royal, VA
Any info is appreciated especially on rarity and age.

Thanks for the message. I often hit the antique mall and coin shop in Verona. Also go to the antique show in Fishersville, Va. Good to meet you.
