Hello everyone -
Here are some of my finds on the way home from a trip up north this past weekend. It was a poison kinda weekend. The weekend started, by winning the Brecklein on eBay. Then we dug a brick lined well (?) w/ nothing special in it...so I just had to find something on the way home.

Sorry, but I don't know all the K numbers for these (yet). I'm workin' on it. From the left ...First is a 2" Poison - Skull and cross bones - Poison --- next is a clear druggist 4 1/8" GEO. c. GOODWIN & CO. in an arc over a large monogram over 38 HANOVER ST. in a reverse arc over BOSTON ::: the same company that made Geo. C. Goodwin // Boston // Indian Vegetable / And / Sarsaparilla // Bitters --- the centerpiece is a 6 1/4" irregular hexagon embossed BRECKLEIN --- then a 4 3/4" amber ZIRASOAP slanted ANTISEPTIC / LUBRICANT / BRISTOL-MYERS CO. / NEW YORK - the back has: 5 FLUID OZS. over WET THE HANDS over BEFORE USING, complete with corked stopper and hobnails around top and heel, as well as some of that great nasty contents (soon to be cleaned out).

Resting on the bottles is a swizzle stick in the shape of a bone, with a skull on top. I can't find an exact match online like this one. It's embossed on one side: IVANHOE - DINING & DANCING - CHICAGO --- The other side has: KING RICHARD - RELIC FROM THE CATACOMBS. It looks older than others I've seen online and thy aren't embossed as such either. Still, it's a neat poison go-with for $3.50. Thanks for looking!

SOME BEAUTIFUL BOTTLES! THE swizzle stick from CHICAGO with the place for "DANCING AND DINING" is really interesting! DO you know anything about the "IVENHOE" place? FROM THE LOOK OF THE SWIZZLE STICK IT LOOKS LIKE A SCARY PLACE TO GO ,LIKE A SPEAK EASY BACK IN AL COPONE'S DAY!

Thanks guys -

glass man - No, I can't find anything on the IVANHOE (w/ an A). At least nothing that connects to the swizzle stick. Searching w/ your info., I can't make a connection either.

Thanks Joe and Thank you Jamie. That's some interesting reading. Also goes to show that different search engines will pull up different stuff.

NOTE: Addition to Goodwin druggist above --- This is the same company who made Dr. Langley's Root & Herb Bitters.

Interesting.. to say the least.  The Bradford, PA bottle sells for abot 2$ around here, tons of them.  Interesting story about Sol Orange, 18 Congress.  He was run over and killed by one of the first motor cars in Bradford.   The rather odd, round bottles were for horse radish.   In fact, a picture of him hangs in my wife's restaurant.

Thanks again Jamie - Glass man.

Tom - PD - I'm not sure what you're saying is interesting. The bottle you mention is not on this thread, so I guess you're commenting on the one on my For Sale page. I understand certain bottles are very common on a local level. I don't see it mentioned in Zumwalt's (or any in my library) book, nor have I seen it offered online in the past couple of years. So, yes it must be a common bottle in your region alone. Two dollars sounds like a steal. I'd buy more if I saw them!
