Hi all. Here's a little bottle, about 4" high, with a slightly distorted shape and the marks 2.1/2 on the bottom. It has a green tinge of colour to it. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi bryna123, It may be a clag or gum jar or possibly a mini cream bottle (4 inches is about the smallest I've seen). I've never seen a Mellin's bottle in that shape but it may very well be one too.

I always thought they were an early cream bottle however one day we dug one with a label on it and it was a boot polish from London England. I don't know if they all contained polish or they may be a generic bottle.

Thanks
Chris
